A place and a story
Built in the 1800s, the Hôtel de France Gare de Lyon Bastille*** welcomes you a short stroll from the Gare de Lyon, Gare d'Austerlitz and Place de la Bastille.
The Hôtel de France Gare de Lyon Bastille, formerly the Grand Hôtel de France, was built at the end of the 19thcentury and so was a contemporary of the Universal Exhibition of 1900. Today, it stands as a witness to the key period in the history of Paris known as the ‘Belle Epoque’.
Today, as it has been for so long, the Rue de Lyon remains a charming thoroughfare connecting the Gare de Lyon and the Bastille district.
